Grape variety: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Production Area: Municipality of Ortona
Vinification: harvest at the beginning of October. Soft crushing and destemming, short maceration with the skins (about 6 hours of contact), fermentation without the skins for 15 days at a temperature of 12°C.
Sensory Characteristics: lively cherry pink colour, the aroma is intense, persistent and fruity. The fruity notes of cherry, raspberry and pomegranate stand out on the nose as well as the floral notes of carnation and geranium, with a slightly mineral aftertaste. The taste is fresh and full-bodied, well balanced and persistent. Wine of medium structure, intense, balanced and with good persistence. It is recommended to drink it young.
Gastronomic pairings: it is particularly appreciated in combination with delicious dishes from land or fish menus. It goes very well with shellfish soups and grilled or baked fish, in sauce or in a casserole. Also very pleasant between meals.
