VULTURE VINEYARDS PIPOLI AGLIANICO DEL VULTURE FANTINI WINES
Grape variety: Aglianico
Production Area: Municipality of Acerenza, Barile and Maschito.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand in selected vineyards. The best grapes are chosen and then delicately pressed and destemmed. The pre-fermentative maceration is carried out at a temperature of approximately 4-5°C for 5 days. Subsequently the grapes undergo fermentation at 22-24°C. Aging: 60% in steel and 40% in used barriques for 10 months. Bottle refinement for 3 months.
Sensory Characteristics: Deep red in color with violet reflections, on the nose it expresses a strong aromatic integrity in which notes of cherry and morello cherry are evident combined with spicy and vanilla notes. The taste is characterized by a good structure, long and balsamic finish, ripe tannins and a persistent aftertaste.
Food pairings: We recommend it with slow cooked lamb chop, pappardelle with ragù, roasts, filet mignon.
